I’ve never photographed a game this intense.
Fulton lost to Tri-unity last year in the state finals, 67-50.
Pushing, shoving, slipping, falling, it was clear from the start nobody wanted to lose. It was a battle on the verge of a blood bath, delayed a half hour by a tornado warning.
Down to the final seconds, kids giving it their all.
A mother asked me if I was nervous. “No, I have to be objective,” I said.
Deep down I was nervous for the kids. Secretly I wanted them to win.
Most of all, I was nervous because I didn’t know where to point the camera.
I think I pointed it in the right direction. Fulton won, 32-31.
