In our opinion, nothing beats autumn in Michigan. We love just about everything that the season encompasses. We even start counting down the days until Halloween on November 1. (FYI, there are 240 days to go!) So when one of our favorite couples asked for a fall engagement that showcased fall’s colors, we knew it was a match made in heaven.
Jessie and Jack’s Chelsea, Michigan engagement session truly highlighted Michigan’s beauty. We photographed their session in the Pinckney State Recreation Area, a large park in their beautiful, quiet hometown of Chelsea. Located outside of Ann Arbor, we discovered the area is truly a gem. As we stood overlooking Green Lake, the sun cast the most beautiful light on Jessie and Jack.
I was lucky enough to meet Jessie my freshman year of college through the Leadership Advancement Scholarship program at Central Michigan University. I knew Jack and Matt would become fast friends. (We even got to hang out with these two after last weekend’s Garth Brooks concert in Detroit!) We always love witnessing the dynamic between longtime sweethearts, but Jessie and Jack’s relationship is so sweet. We feel so thankful to be a part of their special time. We are extra thankful for Jessie’s love of scarves… Her adorable scarf doubled as a blanket when the sun started to dip behind the trees!
Jessie and Jack – we can’t believe how quickly your big day is approaching! We are definitely counting down again for the fall months, but most importantly, we are counting down until you say your vows this summer. Cheers!
We absolutely love these photos! You two are so talented, and we are so lucky to have you capturing our wedding day! We can’t wait!
