Allison + Scott’s wedding day at the Gem Theatre of Detroit was classic — beautiful and full of love. Although so many descriptions come to mind, most of all, we think their wedding story embodies timelessness.

Allison spent the morning surrounded by her bridesmaids prepping in her childhood home. We documented her mom helping her into her wedding dress in her bedroom, where her baby picture hung on the wall just outside the door. (The sentiment behind this moment gets us every time!)

Before heading off to the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica to marry Scott, Allison had the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids and dad. After mass, we visited the Belle Isle Conservatory for portraiture. Years later, we still remember how kind and fun their entire wedding party was.

The Gem Theatre was the perfect location for their reception and incredible party. We’ll always remember the way their guests circled around for the special first dances. The band ignited the dance floor from the first song, and we confident it was packed long after we said goodbye.
