When we think back to Ellen and John’s Grosse Pointe Yacht Club wedding, we can’t help but smile. We remember nothing but love and pure happiness. Ellen and John are our favorite type of couple to spend time with. What we love most about them are their hearts and incredible kindness. They truly adore each other. We remember standing in the driveway with John during their engagement session, and he just gushed over Ellen’s perfection. He’s absolutely right, too! She has a laugh that could light an entire room!
When Ellen’s sister showed me her bridal bouquet the morning of their wedding, she pointed out the symbolic, large gardenia among the pink roses. They had met at a home John built on Gardenia street in Royal Oak. After Ellen stepped into her gorgeous lace wedding dress, we drove a few blocks away to the very spot where John proposed. National Shrine of the Little Flower would also become the spot they would become husband and wife.
Our favorite memory from their big day was their perfect exit after the ceremony. They stepped into Ellen’s gorgeous, vanilla colored 1966 Ford Mustang and waved goodbye to their guests. Ellen, who wore the most elegant dress and veil, whisked them away behind the wheel of the most awesome getaway vehicle we could imagine. After spending time at Belle Isle, we arrived at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club for their reception. As we photographed the new Mr. and Mrs. Rospierski during the sun set, we knew we were witnessing the start to a beautiful marriage. Cheers!
