Apple orchards, cider doughnuts, colorful leaves… Few things could improve autumn in Michigan. But this year, we were lucky enough to add Kirsty and Neil. This sweet couple traveled from their home in St. Louis, Missouri to visit and celebrate with us.
Matt and I met Kirsty and Neil for their Hartland, Michigan engagement at Spicer Orchards last October. I was bursting with excitement to see Kirsty. We hadn’t seen each other since high school, and I was so excited to meet her fiancé in person. We greeted each other while the sun was still rising over the beautiful fields. You would never guess, but they had just arrived to Michigan after an all-night road trip from Niagara Falls. We had so much fun exploring Spicer’s together. Kirsty, who was born and raised in Michigan, was eager to see Neil’s reaction to cider doughnuts. (I wonder if we talked them up too much?! He is a professional chef!)
What we remember most was Kirsty and Neil’s contagious smiles. They both have the best sense of humor, and Neil’s wit had us smiling and laughing the entire morning. They are tying the knot this weekend in St. Louis, and we are beyond excited to be a part of their big day. Cheers to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Strasser!

From the beautiful ribbons draping off the bouquets to her stunning BHLDN dress, the details she incorporated were dreamy. However, the most memorable detail their day was the visible bond between Kirsty and Neil and their family and friends. The day was truly a celebration of tight-knit relationships — the union between husband and wife, the fusion of siblings and friends who are family. (Kirsty was finally reunited with her girlfriends and family after 10 years!) […]
