The snow began to fall hours before Robin and Adam’s Milford, Michigan engagement photos at Proud Lake State Recreation Area. Luckily, they drove their awesome Jeep, because what started as a soft snowfall escalated into a full on whiteout snowstorm by the time we were done.
Robin and Adam were great sports through the whole session. They spent a good portion of the session snuggled under a blanket close to each other, doing their best to keep each other warm. It’s the way every snow storm should be spent with your significant other.
We have to give it to Robin and Adam – a lot of couples would have asked to end the session early. They dealt with elements all the way through the session. They were even in high enough spirits at the end to have a foot race in the snow. Adam won the footrace, but we are pretty sure he cheated.
By dusk, all four of us were wet, cold, and tired from trampling in the woods. Soaking wet, the four of us went downtown Milford for dinner at Smoke Street. We talked a lot about their wedding, their future plans and life after marriage. What stuck out to us, however, was how much Robin and Adam cared to learn about us. It was touching to a have a couple who wanted to know about our lives and our goals.
We’re so looking forward to being their photographers and, most importantly, their friends!
