When Matthew and I started dating, I knew I had to earn approval from his tight-knit group of best friends. I understood that these guys, including Chris, were considered a part of Matt’s family. Whether it was New Year’s Eve or a night spent at a concert, I always had the best time hanging out with Matt and Chris. Long before we were married, Chris truly became a part of my family, too.

An amazing girl joined us for our 2013 New Year’s Eve celebrations. A girl that made Chris smile and laugh and be proud. We watched Chris fall in love with Stephanie, and, with his bulldog by his side, we watched Chris complete his perfect family. We are so grateful Chris found his dream girl, but we are beyond grateful he brought Steph into our lives. We really can’t imagine life without her.

We had so much fun photographing Chris and Stephanie’s Milford, Michigan engagement session at Kensington Metropark this fall. The session was full of love and lots of laughter (and lots of snorting from our favorite bulldog, Reuben, who set the romantic background noise). Several hot air balloons even celebrated with us as the sun set into the horizon. Chris and Stephanie, thank you so much for giving us the honor to be a part of your engagement. We love you.
