Ali + Alex had an intimate wedding at the Planterra Conservatory.
Planterra’s wedding venue is a plant lovers paradise. The conservatory’s lush greenery provides a moody and romantic wedding vibe. The glass ceiling provide natural light during the day and creates a dreamy atmosphere at night.
PROPOSAL AT THE FILLMORE DETROIT
Alex’s brother, Patrick, contacted us to photograph Alex’s proposal to Ali at The Fillmore Detroit. This surprise engagement sparked an everlong friendship and lead us to photographing their wedding.
ALI + ALEX’S WEDDING DAY
Often we talk about our love of capturing authentic moments. Ali + Alex’s wedding was filled with plenty of them.
Here are our two favorite moments from their wedding day:
1 – Ali’s Dad driving her from THE BARONETTE HOTEL to THE PLANTERRA CONSERVATORY in his convertible Porsche. These images feel so classic to us. There is something special about a dad wanting to spend one on one time with his daughter. It’s extra special when he does so lovingly by opening the door for her and holding her hand.
2 – Usually first looks are reserved strictly for our couples. However, the most beautiful moments came from Ali’s family looking on from a distance. The emotional response from Ali’s brother brought everyone to tears. Including Ali + Alex and maybe us. Yes, okay, we were crying too.
We are so thankful fate brought us all together. We hope one day Ali + Alex move back to Michigan so can have date nights in downtown Brighton again.
