Kathryn + Kevin’s West Bloomfield, Michigan beautiful wedding at Bay Pointe Golf Club was filled with happy tears, sunshine and an incomparable amount of love. (Remember their Torch Lake engagement session?! It was one of our favorites! Short’s Brewing Company, a summer camp, s’mores and Torch Lake were all involved, so, duh.)
Kathryn is a dear friend of mine from Central Michigan University. We lived next door to each other during freshmen year, and we were in numerous classes together through the Leadership Advancement Scholarship. (You should check out the Leadership Institute at CMU!) That summer, I visited Central many times while training to become the newspaper’s next photo editor. She always invited me to spend the night, and we spent many nights laughing, talking and taking way too many funny selfies. When Kevin proposed, I was ecstatic when they asked Matt and I to document their wedding.
We love their chemistry together. It’s obvious Kathryn + Kevin are best friends, teammates and the loves of each other’s lives. Their dynamic produced one of our favorite memories from the summer – their first look! Kevin’s reaction was so genuine and raw. If you don’t have faith in first looks, this might just change your mind! 🙂
Kathryn + Kevin, you two are going to leave quite an impact on this world. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding and your legacy. We love you guys!
Since Kathryn + Kevin’s stunning wedding, the world lost the most vibrant soul. Hannah was immeasurably beautiful, inside and out. Her smile could light up any room, and her positive energy was contagious. Even while battling cancer the past few years, she faced her fight with positivity, bravery and grace. Although we were from different towns, our paths crossed and we became friends while we were in high school. I remember how she excitedly reached out when she found out I would be living next door to her best friend, Kathryn, as freshmen in college. It was so nice to catch up with Hannah over the past year. I will always remember her perfectly from the last time I saw her. She was laughing and dancing and living life completely to the fullest. xoxo, Ashley
